Begonia Flamenco Plant Care

Watering:

Begonia Flamenco prefers evenly moist soil but can be sensitive to overwatering. Water the plant when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch, ensuring good drainage to prevent root rot. Avoid letting the soil become waterlogged, as this can lead to fungal diseases.

Light:

This plant thrives in bright, indirect light. Protect it from direct sunlight, which can scorch its leaves, causing them to turn brown or develop sunburn spots. Place it near a north or east-facing window where it can receive gentle, filtered sunlight throughout the day.

Temperature:

Maintain a consistent temperature range between 65°F to 75°F (18°C to 24°C). Avoid exposing Begonia Flamenco to sudden temperature fluctuations or drafts, as it can lead to stress and leaf drop.

Soil Mix:

Use a well-draining potting mix rich in organic matter. A blend of peat moss, perlite, and compost provides optimal conditions for Begonia Flamenco's root development. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.

Humidity:

Begonia Flamenco thrives in moderate to high humidity levels. To increase humidity, place the plant on a pebble tray filled with water or use a room humidifier. Misting the foliage regularly can also help maintain moisture levels around the plant.

Fertilizer:

During the growing season (spring to early autumn), feed Begonia Flamenco with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half-strength every 2-4 weeks. Reduce fertilization frequency during the winter months when growth slows down.

Toxicity:

Like many begonias, Begonia Flamenco contains oxalates, which can be toxic to pets if ingested. Keep the plant out of reach of curious pets and children, and seek veterinary assistance immediately if ingestion is suspected.

Begonia Flamenco is a delightful addition to any indoor garden, with its stunning foliage and charming flowers. By providing the right care, including proper watering, adequate light, consistent temperature, well-draining soil mix, appropriate humidity levels, a balanced fertilizer regimen, and awareness of its toxicity, you can enjoy the beauty of Begonia Flamenco in your home for years to come.

Testimonials

★★★★★

This shop has great customer service. Although they mainly sell pots they also have a few plants to sell. I bought one of these plants and it shipped very fast. The plant I received is beautiful but it was the wrong plant. I contacted the shop right away. I told them I will keep the plant but I’d still want to buy the one I wanted. The plant I wanted also cost less so I offered to pay the difference too. The shop apologized for the mistake and said they will send the right plant right away and to keep the plant i already received. I thought that was awesome, thoughtful and very professional and that goes a long way. Thank you so much and I really appreciate that.

Simply a beautiful and artistic Peety pot. Will be the pot for an Adenia metamorpha and the two will definitely display awesome artistry.
