The Mangave family is relatively new to the horticultural world.  Mangaves are a hybrid succulent created by crossing a member of the Manfreda genus with a member of the Agave family.  The parents of this Mangave are Mangave 'Blood spot" crossed with Agave stricta.  The Agave stricta lineage gives this succulent some cold tolerance along with the graceful, slender and upright growth habit.  These plants can take down to 25 degrees overnight.  The 'Blood spot' parent gives the leaves a dramatic greyish-green and sometimes purple appearance.  Plants will mature to be around 20" tall by 15" wide.  These dramatic Mangaves make an excellent potted plant or landscape plant in suitable environments.  Our plants average 12" tall by 8" wide.  All of our plants are shipped bare root.
